You can control an air conditioner with Wi‑Fi through an app on your mobile phone – at home or remotely. You can switch it on before you get home, check whether you forgot to switch it off, or set a weekly schedule. Daikin offers its own app for selected models.
What mobile control allows
- switching on and off remotely,
- setting the temperature, mode and fan speed,
- timers and weekly schedules,
- an overview of operation – on some models also of consumption,
- controlling several air conditioners from one place.
Who it is worth it for
- people with irregular schedules who want to come home to a cool flat,
- owners of cottages and second homes,
- families with several air conditioners,
- businesses that want an overview of operation.
Energy savings
Remote control does not save energy on its own – sensible use does. The app makes this easier, though: you do not have to leave the air conditioner running all day and can switch it on shortly before you arrive. You will find more tips in the article How much electricity an air conditioner uses and how to reduce it.
What you need to connect it
- an air conditioner with built-in Wi‑Fi or a Wi‑Fi module (depending on the model),
- a home Wi‑Fi network with sufficient signal at the indoor unit,
- the manufacturer’s app on your phone.
During installation we will help you connect the air conditioner to the app and explain the basic functions.
Which models have it
Connection options vary by series and model. When choosing, we will tell you whether a specific Daikin air conditioner has Wi‑Fi built in or needs a module. See Daikin air conditioners or write to us.
