Looking for a company to install a heat pump in a family house in Bratislava or the surrounding area? Climaservice s.r.o. is based in Stupava and works exclusively with Daikin equipment. We have completed approximately 150 heat pump installations. Design, installation and service all come from one company.

Where we install

We work in Bratislava and the towns and villages around it:

  • Bratislava: for example Rača, Vajnory, Záhorská Bystrica and Dúbravka,
  • Záhorie: Stupava and Malacky,
  • Little Carpathians: Pezinok, Modra and Svätý Jur,
  • east and south of Bratislava: Senec, Bernolákovo, Ivanka pri Dunaji, Chorvátsky Grob and Šamorín.

Don’t see your village here? Write to us and we will check availability.

New builds in villages around Bratislava

In villages such as Stupava, Chorvátsky Grob, Ivanka pri Dunaji and Bernolákovo, more and more new builds have underfloor heating, which offers ideal conditions for a heat pump. The correct output and the position of the unit relative to close neighbours are important. It is best to get in touch before the first-fix pipework at the latest. You will find the procedure on the Heat pump for a new build page.

Older houses in the city districts

In older family houses, radiator heating tends to be the challenge. We will assess whether a low-temperature variant is enough or whether a high-temperature one is more suitable. Read more in the articles A heat pump for an old house with radiators and Replacing a gas boiler with a heat pump: step by step.

Noise and neighbours

With terraced houses and smaller plots, the location of the outdoor unit is crucial. Read more in the article Heat pump noise and the location of the outdoor unit.

Which model suits where

The specific model always depends on the heat loss of the house and the system. Read more in the article What heat pump output do I need?.

How we proceed

  1. You send us an enquiry with information about the house and, if you have them, the project or energy performance certificate.
  2. We assess the heat loss and propose the equipment, output and position of the units.
  3. We prepare a quote with the exact scope of work.
  4. We install, set up and commission the equipment.
  5. We also take care of servicing after installation.

The subsidy

Households can use the Zelená domácnostiam II programme. You will find the conditions and current status on the Subsidies page. The contribution is not available for houses under construction. Climaservice s.r.o. is certified to install heat pumps eligible for the state subsidy.

What to prepare before enquiring

  • the project or energy performance certificate, if you have one,
  • the type of heating and previous energy consumption,
  • a photo of the boiler room and the place for the outdoor unit,
  • whether you plan to apply for the state subsidy.

You will find examples of our installations under projects.

Indicative prices

  • Heat pump installation

Price for the installation work, excluding the unit

    from 800 €

  • Heat pump service

    Annual service inspection

    from 160 €

The prices shown are indicative and include VAT. The final price depends on the chosen unit, the pipe length, the height of the outdoor unit and the need for wall openings. We will prepare the exact price in a free quote.

Why is there no price here? We tailor the price to your house, the required output and the scope of installation. We are not the cheapest; we focus on quality design, installation and service. More about our prices

FAQ

Questions about heat pumps

Can’t find your answer? Call or write to us – we are happy to help.

All questions
What is the difference between an air conditioner and a heat pump?

Both work on a similar principle – they transfer heat between the outdoor and indoor environment. An air conditioner (air-to-air system) heats or cools the air in the room directly. An air-to-water heat pump heats water for the heating system (underfloor heating, radiators) and hot water for the bathroom and kitchen. Read more on our blog.

Can a heat pump also cool?

Some heat pumps can. It depends on the type of unit and the heating system – cooling is possible, for example, through underfloor systems or fan coil units designed for it. With standard radiators, cooling is generally not used.

Is an air-source heat pump worth it?

It depends on the house. The key factors are insulation, the type of heating system, hot water consumption and what you currently heat with. We do not quote general savings percentages – we assess the benefits for your specific house.

Is a heat pump suitable for an older house with radiators?

Often yes, but it requires the right design. For radiators that need a higher water temperature, high-temperature heat pump variants are used. The insulation of the house also matters. We will assess whether it is a suitable solution in your case.

What heat pump output do I need?

The output is determined by the heat loss of the house, not by its floor area. A project or energy performance certificate, information about insulation, the type of heating and hot water consumption all help. Read more in the article What heat pump output do I need.

Can I get a subsidy for a heat pump?

Households can use the Zelená domácnostiam programme, managed by SIEA. The conditions, the amount of the contribution and the dates change – you will find current information at zelenadomacnostiam.sk. Read more in the article Heat pump subsidy.

How noisy is a heat pump?

Noise comes mainly from the outdoor unit and depends on the model, the current output and the location. Do not place the unit under bedroom windows or in narrow spaces where the sound reflects. Read more in the article Heat pump noise.

What should I do if a heat pump fails?

Note down the error code, check the circuit breaker and whether the outdoor unit is blocked by snow or objects. Do not interfere with the refrigerant circuit, and contact a service technician. Read more in the article Heat pump service.

Does a heat pump work in severe frost?

Yes, an air-to-water heat pump heats even in frost. However, its output and efficiency fall as the temperature drops, so the design has to allow for this. The manufacturer states the operating temperature range for each model. Read more in the article Does a heat pump work in frost?

Do I have to change my radiators when replacing a boiler?

Not always. It depends on the water temperature the house needs. It is often enough to replace a few of the smallest radiators or choose a high-temperature unit. Only an assessment of the house gives the answer. Read more in the article Replacing a gas boiler with a heat pump.

Who handles the subsidy application?

The registration and application are primarily made by the household, and by the installer only with an officially certified power of attorney. We prepare the design, check that the equipment is on the list of eligible equipment and supply the invoice and documents needed for the application. Conditions change, so see the current status on the Subsidies page.

How many years does a heat pump take to pay back?

There is no single figure that applies to every house. It depends on the price of the equipment, the subsidy, your current heating, heat loss and energy prices. When replacing a gas boiler, the payback can be long. We explain how to calculate it in the article Heat pump payback.
