An air conditioner runs for many hours during the season. Regular servicing helps maintain its output, reliability and economical operation. We service the Daikin air conditioners we installed, in Bratislava and the surrounding area.
Why regular servicing matters
Without maintenance, dust and dirt settle on the filters, heat exchanger and fan. The unit then has to run longer to reach the set temperature, it may become noisier and an unpleasant smell may come from it. A service visit also reveals small problems early, before they cause a more serious fault.
Regular air conditioner maintenance
The recommended maintenance interval depends on how the unit is used and on its environment, and is also set by the manufacturer in the unit’s manual. With normal household use, professional servicing is usually done once a year, ideally before the summer season. In dusty environments or with year-round use it may be needed more often.
Checking the unit
During a service visit we focus mainly on:
- the condition and cleanliness of the indoor unit filters,
- the heat exchanger and fan of the indoor unit,
- the condensate drain, so that water does not drip into the room,
- the outdoor unit – a clean heat exchanger and free airflow,
- operating values and the correct function of cooling and heating,
- the electrical connection and controls.
Fault diagnosis
If your air conditioner does not cool, drips water, shows an error code or makes unusual noises, we will find the cause and propose a solution. Please note down the error code on the display or controller before calling – it helps us estimate the cause more quickly.
Service work
Depending on the result of the check, we carry out the necessary work – from cleaning and adjustment to repairing or replacing a faulty part. We always tell you the scope and price before any major repair.
Recommended care between services
- Clean the indoor unit filters according to the manufacturer’s instructions, regularly during the season if you use the unit often.
- Keep the area around the outdoor unit clear – free of leaves, snow and objects that block the airflow.
- Before a longer break in use, let the unit dry out for a while in fan mode after switching off, if your model supports it.
