Heat pumps are not supported in the Zelená solidarita project. According to the official website zelenadomacnostiam.sk (as of 4 November 2026), the project only covers photovoltaic panels, solar collectors and biomass boilers. If you want a heat pump with a contribution, other programmes come into consideration.
Who Zelená solidarita is for
The project of the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) is intended for low-income households at risk of energy poverty and for households with a person with a severe disability. It provides vouchers for up to 90% of eligible costs, which are redeemed with a contractor that has a contract with SIEA.
From 15 September 2026, SIEA temporarily suspended the activation of new applications while new conditions are prepared. Check the current status directly on the project website.
What the options are for a heat pump
- Zelená domácnostiam II – not tied to income. The contribution is up to 50% of eligible costs, a maximum of €4,000, or €4,600 with the bonus. - Obnov dom mini+ – for low-income or vulnerable households in family houses built before 2016. The contribution is up to €11,000 and the supported measures include heat pumps. The next round is planned for January 2027. You will find the conditions at obnovdom.sk.

What to consider with a heat pump
- with a subsidy, the unit must be on the list of eligible equipment for the programme in question,
- the heat pump must suit the house – output and type according to the heat loss (What heat pump output do I need?),
- with older houses, the radiators and water temperature need to be assessed (A heat pump for an old house with radiators).
