Households in Slovakia can obtain a contribution for a heat pump from the Zelená domácnostiam II (Green Households II) project, run by the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA). According to the official website zelenadomacnostiam.sk (as of 4 November 2026), it is a contribution of up to 50% of eligible costs, which the household reserves and receives directly into its account after installation. The maximum is €4,000, or €4,600 with the bonus.
What changed in 2026
- in Zelená domácnostiam II, instead of a voucher, a contribution is reserved and paid to the household after installation,
- registration of applications has been open since 26 October 2026,
- reservation of funds can be requested from 2 November 2026 – the order is decided by the time the reservation is submitted, not the registration.
The procedure in Zelená domácnostiam II
- Register an application for the contribution.
- Request a reservation of funds – the application is placed in the queue.
- Once funds are released, you receive confirmation of the reservation from SIEA.
- Within 45 days of the reservation being confirmed, you submit the installation documents and request payment.
- After verification and delivery of the signed contract, the contribution is paid into your account.
The 45-day deadline is short, so it is a good idea to have the choice of unit, the design and the installation date ready in advance.
Zelená solidarita and low-income households
Zelená solidarita, with vouchers for up to 90% of eligible costs, does not cover heat pumps – read more in the article Zelená solidarita and heat pumps: what the programme covers and what the options are. Low-income households may be helped by the Obnov dom mini+ programme, which supports heat pumps. You will find an overview on the Subsidies page.
Conditions for the unit
Only units from the list of eligible equipment that have met the technical criteria can be supported. Before ordering we will check whether the proposed Daikin heat pump is on the list.
