The installation determines how an air conditioner will work for years to come. We have completed approximately 1,500 air conditioner installations. We install Daikin air conditioners in Bratislava, Stupava, Malacky, Pezinok, Senec and other towns and villages of the Bratislava Region, in flats, family houses and businesses. If you are still building, see air conditioning pre-installation.

Wall-mounted air conditioner after installation – one of our projects

How the installation works

  1. Site visit or documents. We look at the room and the place for the outdoor unit, or photos and dimensions may be enough.
  2. Design and quote. We recommend the model, output, position of the units and pipe route. The quote states the scope of work.
  3. Preparation. We cover the work area and fit the unit brackets.
  4. Connection. We drill the wall opening, connect the units with refrigerant pipes and a cable, and sort out the condensate drainage.
  5. Circuit check. We check for leaks and prepare the refrigerant circuit according to the manufacturer’s procedure.
  6. Handover. We start up the air conditioner, explain how to operate it and clean the filters, and tidy up after ourselves.

Installing one wall-mounted air conditioner in normal conditions usually takes one day.

What affects the installation price

  • the chosen unit and the number of units,
  • the length of pipe between the indoor and outdoor units,
  • the height at which the outdoor unit is placed,
  • the need for wall openings,
  • how the pipes and condensate drain are routed.

You will find indicative prices below and in the price list. We explain how to compare quotes in the article How much does an air conditioner with installation cost? What affects the price.

Flat, family house or business

What to prepare

  • free space below the place for the indoor unit,
  • access to the place for the outdoor unit,
  • consent from the building manager or owners’ association, if required,
  • photos of the room and the facade, balcony or terrace, if you would like a quote before a site visit.

Under the applicable regulations, work on the refrigerant circuit may only be carried out by persons holding the relevant certificate.

After installation

We will look after your unit later too: air conditioner servicing and cleaning and disinfection. You can browse models in the air conditioner catalogue and see examples of our work under projects.

All questions
Is installation included in the price of the air conditioner?

It depends on the specific quote. Our quotes always clearly list the price of the unit, the installation and the installation materials, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

How long does air conditioner installation take?

Installing a single wall-mounted air conditioner under standard conditions can usually be done within one day. Multi-split systems, longer pipe runs or difficult access to the outdoor unit may take longer. We will give you an exact estimate when preparing the quote.

Where is the outdoor unit installed?

Most often on the facade, a balcony, a terrace or on the ground next to the house. It needs enough space for airflow, must be accessible for servicing and should disturb the surroundings as little as possible. In apartment buildings, approval from the building manager or owners’ association may be required.

Can an air conditioner be installed in winter?

Yes. Installation is carried out all year round; we only adjust the date in extreme weather. The advantage is more available dates, and you can use the air conditioner for heating straight away. Read more in the article Installing an air conditioner in winter.

Do I need the owners’ association’s consent for an air conditioner in a flat?

If the outdoor unit is to be placed on the facade or another common part of the building, the consent of the building manager or owners’ association is usually required. Rules vary between buildings, so ask in advance. We will gladly prepare documents about the unit for you. Read more in the article Consent to install an air conditioner in an apartment building.

Where should the indoor unit of an air conditioner go?

High on the wall with free space in front of the unit, away from heat sources and so that the airflow does not point directly at a bed or desk. A short route to the outdoor unit and a way to drain condensate also matter. Read more in the article Where to place an air conditioner.

What is air conditioning pre-installation and when should it be arranged?

It means preparing the pipes, cable, condensate drain and electrical supply before plastering. It is best to get in touch before plastering and before suspended ceilings are built, in both new builds and renovations. Read more on the Air conditioning pre-installation page.

What if condensate cannot drain by gravity?

A condensate pump or a drain into the sewer with an odour trap is then used. The solution is agreed during the site visit. Read more in the article Air conditioner condensate.
